Working together with a pump, which also acts as the control unit, these valve blocks form the basis of the pneumatic system for passenger seating.

Generally, these units are mounted within the seat’s backrest to reduce hose lengths. This task is further simplified owing to their slender design. Also, their low weight ensures that the seat construction and 16g tests are only minimally influenced.

To further reduce the overall weight and cabling requirements, 3-pin connections are used for each pump.

These valve blocks are manufactured according to the specific requirements of our customers, and enable up to 10 individual air chambers to be controlled.

The valve block weight is dependent on its size, so, for example, a block designed with 6 connections weighs in at just 295g (0.64 lbs)
